The Adjoining and Pre-Win Bingo Patterns
Aside from the regular winning bingo patterns, there are other exciting and much simpler winning patterns played mostly at home or in casual venues.
The adjoining and pre-win bingo patterns give more chances of winning to others, aside from the winner of the bingo jackpot prize. With these consolation prizes winnings are more evenly distributed and the games get more lucrative. The adjoining winning pattern works this way. The first player to have two adjoining or connecting squares marked on the card wins. Thus, a card that has B-2 and I-16 marked out and the two markings are adjoining—and it's the first card to have such markings---the card owner wins the adjoining jackpot.
The pre-win bingo pattern is when the markings on the card come so close to completing a pattern that only one square remains unmarked to complete the whole pattern—and such is the first card to reach that phase. The card qualifies for a pre-win bingo pattern. For instance, completing a big four-corner pattern (4 markings on each of the corner of the card). Say, a card already has markings on B-2 and B-7, the upper left-hand and lower left hand corners of a card, respectively. What remains to be marked are the O-71 upper right hand and O-75 lower right hand corners of the card—2 squares away from winning.
Then suddenly, O-71 is called out. So that's one square left to complete a big 4-corner pattern. At this point, the player holding this card claims the pre-win jackpot and shouts "pre-win!" If this player's the first to do this, the card is checked and if it tallies, the player receives the pre-win jackpot. Then, as the game continues and O-75 is called out and this player is the first to shout "Bingo!" the player wins the major jackpot—getting two prizes in the process.
At times a single player wins all prizes. If we're the first to have adjoining markings, first to have pre-win markings, and first to complete the winning pattern, we get all jackpots. The game is started with 3 kinds of bets from each player. In some cases, adjoining and pre-win betting is left optional. Anyone who didn't make an adjoining bet does not win it if the opportunity comes, and so with the pre-win bet. In some cases all bets are compulsory bets---this makes the game more exciting.
The next time we play other bingo patterns, try the adjoining and pre-win options.
